When you first joined Nomad Internet, you paid an initial fee for your modem. Joining Nomad gave you access to extraordinary equipment at a fraction of the equipment’s cost (MSRP $599 and up). As the business has moved forward with thousands joining monthly, we recognize that we cannot continue the high level of service our customers require while covering the cost of the modems involved.
You don’t have unreliable equipment made in China, you have military spec-grade U.S. technology.
For all new customers, we are switching from an up-front fee to a monthly rental for the modems provided.
For existing customers, we will be crediting the initial payment made against the future monthly rental charge. We will also price-protect your service for one year and provide a concierge level of service that new customers will either be paying for or not receive. We want to continue providing you world-class service at an affordable price.
This update offers us more flexible options and ensures you’ll always have access to the most reliable, modern equipment. Plus, we’re rolling out some exciting benefits with our new modem plans!

To ensure your modem stays up-to-date and gives you the best performance possible, we’re switching from the one-time rental fee to a new monthly rental model.

If you value reliability and want to ensure your internet experience is always top-tier, then our Nomad Premier Modem Rental is designed for you. This option offers unmatched peace of mind, convenience, and protection—all for just a small monthly fee.

Nomad Legends – Special Loyalty Pricing
We have created special reduced pricing for customers who signed up on or before September 1st to honor your loyalty.
Nomad Premier Legendary Pricing: $10 (Omen), $15 (Air), $20 (Raptor)
What Does This Mean for You?
If you’ve already paid the one-time rental fee, don’t worry—we’re giving back! The amount you paid will be credited to your account, and the amount will be adjusted for how long you’ve had the modem. You’ll automatically opt into our Premier Modem Rental plan by continuing to use your modem.
Prefer to switch to the Standard Modem Rental? No problem! You can make that change, too.
What to Expect on Your Next Bill:
Starting with your next billing cycle, you’ll see:
- A new line item for the monthly modem rental fee based on your plan choice.
- A credit from your one-time rental payment is applied to your account.
Your Options:

Continue Service: No action is required if you agree to these changes. Your service will continue smoothly with the new modem rental model.
- Discontinue Service: If you prefer not to transition, you can return your modem with a prepaid shipping label, and we’ll process your account closure once we receive it.
