I just got it set up a couple of days ago and so far I am ecstatic about the service. Moved out into the east mountains of NM (east of Albuquerque) a bit ago and have been through several different services. Most of them gave mediocre at best speeds and were wildly inconsistent and required resetting the device at least daily but often multiple times a day. So far with Nomad I have excellent speed and am not constantly rebooting.
I have Nomad and love it, tried Hughes, Verizon MiFi, Synergy, Solis, Skyroam, attempted Starlink (big $$$ and can't have trees, not mobile) Nomad is the only one that allows me to stream, connect multiple devices; I have the travel plan so we can take it RV'ing. Try it you have nothing to lose — no contracts, no data limits. They now have different management, 24/7 call service, online chat w/repair, and more advanced equipment.
Best internet I've found out here in BFE. No throttling and I'm gaming and streaming with no problems. Large game updates that are like 165 gigs may take a day. Besides that I'm loving it. I was about ready to move because of the lack of internet. I'm good now.
Just did a speed test. Download is 155 Mbps and upload is 19.1 Mbps. We need to have internet for work and Nomad has been amazing for work, streaming TV, gaming and our Alexa. We have used it in several states with no issues. Extremely happy with the service and that there is no set up or take down on travel days and we don't have to worry about any obstructions.
For RVers, van lifers, and anyone who moves locations.

Yes. Nomad's Travel Plan is designed specifically for customers who move between states. Coverage varies by location, so we recommend checking ZIP codes along your route before you travel. The modem reconnects automatically as you move through covered areas — no manual switching or setup needed when you arrive somewhere new.
The Nomad modem supports 10 to 20 simultaneous WiFi connections depending on the model. That covers phones, tablets, laptops, smart TVs, streaming sticks, security cameras, and any other connected devices you travel with — for both you and a travel partner.
Yes. You can pause and resume service directly from your account dashboard whenever you need to. If you're stationary for the winter and don't need the connection, pause it. When you're ready to hit the road again, resume with one click. You only pay for the months you use it.
No dish. No antenna. No roof installation. The Nomad modem is a compact plug-in unit — about the size of a small router. Plug it into a power outlet inside your RV, and it connects to the nearest cell towers automatically. No line-of-sight requirement. No drilling. No professional install.
Your phone's hotspot throttles after 50GB — sometimes much less — and is limited to a single carrier. Nomad uses carrier aggregation across multiple networks to deliver truly unlimited data with no soft cap. You won't see speeds drop after heavy use, and the modem handles more simultaneous devices more reliably than a phone acting as a hotspot.
Yes. The modem reconnects automatically as you travel through covered areas. Signal strength and speeds vary depending on the coverage in each stretch of highway, but the modem stays connected without any input from you. You don't need to stop, reconfigure, or manually switch towers.
Performance depends on the cellular coverage in that specific location. At campgrounds near populated areas, most customers see strong speeds. In very remote locations — backcountry sites far from any tower — coverage may be limited. We recommend checking your planned ZIP codes in advance. The 14-day money-back guarantee lets you test it risk-free.
We just need to know how you plan to use it — at home, on the road, or both — so we can show the best options for you.
